About Us
Select Partners Ltd. was incorporated in 1999 and is based in the Cayman Islands. It deploys its own capital and capital of joint ventures in non-traditional funding structures. Over the decades our fundings have entailed a wide range of users, an assortment of terms, and returns based on interest and/or participation. In all cases a key piece to a obtaining funding is collateral to secure the loan. By having tangible assets for collateral, we can "stay out of your business". In general there is no need for us review day to day activities or question your business decisions.

Our experience in managing high yield bonds, collateralized mortgage obligations (CMOs), construction and development financing, distressed debt, and even financing pawn shops has widened our view of lending and funding capital needs. Creating unique funding schemes is not only more interesting to us but also can be more profitable. We occupy the space between traditional lenders (i.e. banks) and equity owners such as venture capital or hedge funds.

Jeff first entered the arena of non-traditional lending in the 1980's when the high bond markets melted down. Finding success in sifting through the rubble of high yield bonds he discovered that collateral was the key to a solid loan. Cash flow can fluctuate due to unforeseen events but quality assets tend to endure. Firms with quality tangible assets can are more solid credit risks.
